Fort Bragg Weekend Picks

Fort Bragg Father’s Day Weekend: June 16

Treat Dad to brunch at a brewery or “axe” him to play like a Lumberjack. Print out these Father’s Day options for Dad and let him pick where to go. For once, hah. WARNING: he may pick all four!

Saturday, June 16 Give Dad an Axe!

Encourage Dad to blow-off steam like a Lumberjack! The friendly folks of Axes & X’s will set up targets and teach dads how to throw a bullseye with real axes from 5-8pm. This will be the activity Dad brags about around the water cooler come Monday morning. Location TBA on Hay St. Downtown Fayetteville, NC 28306.

Saturday & Sunday, June 16 & 17 Field of Honor

Pay your respect to Fort Bragg’s military heroes this weekend 8am-8pm at the Field of Honor in Downtown Fayetteville. In its 11th year, the field is perhaps the most significant display of the sacrifice fathers at Fort Bragg have made. A field of large American flags each dedicated in memory of a soldier (many of whom were dads) who served and sacrificed. Airborne Special Operations Museum. 100 Bragg Blvd. Fayetteville, NC 28301.

Sunday, June 17 Coffee BOGO *must show photo below*

Buy one coffee for yourself, get one FREE for Dad! Or for new dads whose energy is really lagging, buy them a cup and get them a second brew for free. BOGO special available by showing off the image below 11am-7pm. 1916 Good Living Coffee Zone. Skibo Rd Suite C6, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28314.

Sunday, June 17 Father’s Day Brunch

If the star drinks (like the Bloody-Mary and in-house brew pictured) do not make Dad drool, the food definitely will. Every Sunday, Chef Lou takes over the kitchen and shares his culinary magic. We warn you: one bite and you are likely to never miss their brunch again! 11am-2pm at Lake Gaston Brewing Company & Restaurant. 124 Hay St. Fayetteville. NC 28301.  (Free parking Downtown on weekends!)
