30 Fall Festivities in Fayetteville

Fall is here! The leaves are turning, the colors are changing, the shadows are lengthening, and the Zombie Walk is right around the corner. Did you know that there is A LOT to do around here this time of year? Here are some spooktacular suggestions.

  1. Hayrides, Sep 21-Oct 31 at West Produce on Hayes Rd in Spring Lake. $7 per person.
  2. Dogwood Fall Festival, October 10th, noon to 10pm, downtown and Festival Park.
  3. 40th International Folk Festival, September 28-30 in Downtown Fayetteville.
  4. Gallberry Corn Maze, Sep 29-Nov 4. $10+tax. Discounts available. Located in Hope Mills.
  5. Stoney Point Trail of Terror, Sep 28- Oct 31.  Always check before visiting to make sure they’re open.  $15 per person.  Located in Fayetteville.
  6. Hollerin Haunts Hayride, Sep 28-Nov 3. Open Fridays and Saturdays. Located in Clinton. Site also has a haunted corn maze, and zombie paintball.
  7. Oktoberfest, October 7, located in Fayetteville. Prices vary.
  8. Woods of Terror, Sep 15-Nov 3. Open Thursday through Saturday beginning in October. Located in Greensboro.
  9. Fayetteville Symphony The Music of John Williams Concert, October 6, 7:30-10:30pm. Located in Fayetteville.
  10. Hogwarts & All, at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden on October 25th from 7-11pm.  Located in Fayetteville. Adults only. Dress up, get sorted, and more! Price from $15 to $25.
  11. Lake Hickory Haunts, Sep 22 – Nov 3. Open Fridays and Saturdays most of the season. Located in Hickory.
  12. Indigo Moon Film Festival, Oct 12 – 14 in historic downtown Fayetteville.
  13. Spooky Woods, Sep 28 – Nov 3, open on the weekends.  Located in High Point. They also have a zipline.
  14. 9th Annual Taste of Fayetteville, October 7th, 12pm-5pm. Located in Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville.
  15. Granville Haunt Farm, Oct 5 – Nov 3. Open Fridays and Saturdays. They have zombie paintball, a haunted trail, corn maze, escape room, and more. Located in Oxford.
  16. Halloween Spooktacular, October 26, 5-9pm at the Iron Mike Conference Center on Reilly Rd. Couples are $35.
  17. Fayetteville ComicCon, Oct 20-21, at the Crown Complex in Fayetteville. Tickets start at $15.
  18. Family Fun Campout, Sep 28-29, located in Fayetteville. Call to register at (910) 433-1579.
  19. Pumpkin Path Ghost Story Campfire Program, October 12th from 6-8pm. All ages—$3 per person. Located in Fayetteville.
  20. Cliffdale & EE Miller Monster Mash, October 26, 6:30-8:30pm. Free! Trunk or treat, costume contest, music and games. Located in Fayetteville
  21. North Carolina Zombie Hunt, every Friday and Saturday of October, 7pm-12am. Located in St. Pauls.
  22. Hallowe’en Revels Night Tours of the 1897 Poe House, Oct 4-26.  Located in Fayetteville.
  23. Black Ops Paintball Zombie Hayride, every weekend Sp 28 – Nov 3rd. Located in Fayetteville.
  24. Halloween at the Boo-Tanical Garden, Oct 26 – 28, 6-9pm. Family friendly. Located in Fayetteville.
  25. Fourth Friday: Zombie Walk & Prom, October 26, located in downtown Fayetteville.
  26. Poe House Trick-Or-Treat, October 27th, 11am to 4pm. Admission is FREE!
  27. The Magical World of Wizardry, in downtown Fayetteville, Oct 19 – 20. 5pm-9pm the 19th, 11am-6pm the 20th. Family friendly.
  28. Fall Pontoon Boat Tour, November 10th, 2-3:30pm. $20 per person. Located in Fayetteville.
  29. Beartoberfest – Episode VI: The Force Unshaven, located at the TapHouse at Huske on October 20th from 7-10pm. Beard and mustache competition.
  30. A Nightmare on Russell Street, October 27th from 5-10pm at Bright Light Brewing Company in downtown Fayetteville. Costume contest!
