This weekend you could hunt for hearts in a garden, purchase a plethora of reasonably priced books, walkabout downtown and appreciate local art, visit Leclair’s for a beer tasting, get romantic on a horse drawn carriage ride, stretch your mind and body at partner yoga, or even win big at Dirtbag Ale’s trivia night. Heart Hunt for the Kiddos

This weekend at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, bring the whole family out for a fun, outdoor scavenger hunt. During regular garden hours, celebrate your love of nature and stroll the garden in search of hearts. Complete their heart passport and you will earn a prize! The activity is self led. Bring the whole family out this weekend .

Friends of the Library Public Book Sale

Cumberland County book lovers unite! This is exactly what you need—an inexpensive way to feed your addiction and build your personal library to new heights. This Saturday and Sunday, make your way to the headquarters library on Maiden Lane to peruse hundreds, if not thousands of titles in good condition at unbeatably low prices. Cash, credit and debit are all accepted with a $10 minimum purchase.

Friday February 15

Art Walkabout

Downtown Fayetteville is at it again—bringing us a fantastic event that includes multiple participants. Cape Fear Studios is hosting this walkabout evening in our beautiful downtown. Visit local art galleries and shops to pick up a passport and map at any of the participating sites. You will view local work and each host will offer a different experience. There will be food, drinks, and of course, art from different local artists. Get your passport stamped at each location you visit for a chance to win a special gift basket.

Triple C Beer Sampling

Leclair’s General Store hosts. This beer sampling evening promises to be a great night you don’t want to miss. Visit Leclair’s to sample one of their latest selections of craft beer from “Triple C” Brewing Co., based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Mingle with others, make new friends, and treat your taste buds while expanding your palate. Bring your I.D. and prepare to have a blast!

Saturday February 16

Valentine’s Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

Could there possibly be a better time in the year to try out the downtown Fayetteville horse and carriage rides? Probably not. Their horse-drawn Cinderella carriage takes your on a leisurely ride over the brick-paved streets of historic downtown. It will be decorated for the occasion and photos are encouraged!

This romantic carriage ride is becoming a tradition, so make sure to book ahead! You can book your tickets the the City Center Gallery & Books at 112 Hay Street, or call 910-678-8899.

Partner Yoga Flow

Resound Yoga Studio is offering an unforgettable workshop this weekend. You don’t need to come with a partner, however they boast that this session will deepen your level of connection and intimacy through yoga. So bring your loved one or a friend (or, like they say, bring no one and they will partner you up!) and get ready for some laughs, some love, and some friendship.

You will participate in partner assisted stretches that enable you to stretch farther than you could on your own. The standing, seated, and flying postures are all designed to open your body and heart in this exercise that will deepen trust and communication.

Trivia at Dirtbag

Fayetteville is full of trivia nights (and afternoons) and Dirtbag Ales Brewery and Taproom is getting in on the fun! This Sunday, make your way to one of the most community oriented breweries around and test your knowledge at their free team trivia event. Come out and enjoy a pint, especially if you have never tried their amazing, veteran owned, unique brews. Compete to win some Dirtbag swag, as well as gift cards!
