This weekend you could hunt Leprechauns at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Hay Street and at The Fayetteville Pie Company, participate in an art and wine walk downtown, or attend a Prohibition Murder Mystery Dinner Show. These are our picks for this weekend at Fort Bragg!

Leprechaun Hunt

Get out into nature this weekend with the whole family at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. The kiddos will love their St. Patrick’s Day themed Leprechaun Hunt. The family scavenger hunt will take you all around the garden with a lucky passport to complete in order to earn a prize.

Cost: Free with membership or paid admission
When: Fri & Sat, 10am-5pm. Sun, 12pm-5pm.

Saint Paddy’s Day on Hay

Hay Street is pulling out the stops to celebrate in Historic Downtown Fayetteville. There will be live entertainment, green beer and green cocktails. Four locations are participating:

Huske Hardware & Brewery at 405 Hay St.
Sky Lounge at Pierro’s at 217 Hay St.
Lake Gaston Brewery at 124 Hay St.
The TapHouse at 411 Hay St.

Visit all four locations for a chance to win a t-shirt.

Cost: No cover charge
When: Saturday 11am-2am. Sunday 12pm-9pm.

Friday March 15

St Patrick’s Day at Fayetteville Pie Co

The lunch joint is dishing out its best pies for Saint Patrick’s Day, kicking off on Friday the 15th. Their menu includes their famous Creme de Menthe and Guinness Trifle, among other delectables. For more information on the pie company, check out our blog feature here.

Saturday March 16

Fayetteville Art and Wine Walk

This Saturday you can take a sip and stroll tour of downtown Fayetteville’s art scene. There will be twenty wines on hand to sample, as well as art exhibitions and pop art. Start times are at 4pm and 6pm. Check in at the TapHouse Alley! They will supply you with a list of participating shops. Part of the proceeds will go to a local non-profit Fayetteville Creative Agency that promotes local artists and a community of arts.

Cost: $25, $45 for a couple, $10 for a DD

Prohibition Murder Mystery Dinner Show

It’s a different kind of St. Patrick’s Day party! The TapHouse at Huske hosts, Murder at the Grand Gatsby Speakeasy. At the height of the prohibition in the 1920s, Chicago’s mob war is brewing. An agreement between mob leaders has them pooling resources to undergo a collaborative effort with criminal endeavors.

Tickets include a 20s inspired dinner. Specialty era drinks available all evening.
