A TSG Feature-Cities, Restaurants, & More! Guides to Fayetteville

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers and their new Segra Stadium

We here at the Signature Group are a team of real estate agents with Keller Williams Realty, passionate about connecting you to Fayetteville, NC’s community and making Fort Bragg more than just a PCS.

We help buyers, sellers, and investors navigate the real estate process, and our expertise doesn’t stop there! We share our heart for our community through our blog and aim to highlight all of the positive aspects of America’s Hometown.

Recently, one of our own, Jamie Shugart, attended a game at the newly constructed Segra Stadium and is stoked to tell all. Jamie is a wife, fur mama, and our digital marketing manager. She and her husband attended a Tuesday game and sat in section 126, just past first base.

First of all, the Woodpeckers got seven runs in the first inning, so it is safe to say that the game started with a bang. The sun set soon after the game began and Jamie was super happy with their seats. Really, there is no bad seat in the stadium. If you get a general admissions ticket, get there early and you can snag a rocking chair at the back of the field.

Not only is the stadium brand-spanking new, but it also has a fun free kids zone, bar, food, and excellent views of the whole field from basically anywhere. The staff is all friendly and knowledgeable, and everyone works hard to make the experience great for the whole family. Bonus: the tickets are super reasonably priced. They start at nine dollars!

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are a Class A-Advanced (single-A minor league) farm team of the Houston Astros and are a part of the Carolina League in the Southern Division. The team is named after the red-cockaded woodpecker, which is an endangered species that was once plentiful in the Fayetteville region. The team colors, mascot, and entrance mural are all a nod at the nearby and seriously influencial Fort Bragg, which is the largest US Army military installation and is wholeheartedly embraced by the community of America’s Hometown.

Jamie says that the game was super fun, the atmosphere was great, and that she saw a lot of people she knew at the stadium that night.  The energy and excitement in Fayetteville right now is exhilarating.  For the cost of a movie ticket, you can spend a few hours with your family and friends experiencing America’s pastime and embrace the newest team to join the Fayetteville family. She would absolutely recommend checking it out this summer!
