We have several local and chain options to enjoy in the Fayetteville and Fort Bragg area. Here is your local guide to ice cream and frozen treats!

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

A classic hamburger followed by delicious, freshly churned creamy desserts? What could be better? Frozen custard is often richer, denser, and creamier than ice cream and frozen yogurt. They make specialty “concrete” mixers, or you can create your own!

Haymount Exxon next to LeClair’s

This is a truly hidden gem that locals rave about! Once you try it, you won’t be able to stop coming back for more. This Exxon gas station has homemade custard with rotating flavors!

Gillis Hill Farm

The Gillis Hills Farm has offered summer homemade ice cream for years! They offer all sorts of fun farm experiences throughout the year, including fresh produce and tours. Grab an ice cream (their peach flavor is legendary!) and explore!

Menchies

Your quality frozen yogurt experience is offered at Menchie’s. They have cakes, catering, deliveries, and parties! Not to mention their incredible frozen yogurt flavor options and toppings.

Pelican’s Sno-Balls

Looking for a familiar shaved ice experience? Pelican’s SnoBalls, originating in New Orleans, serves over 100 flavors on its smooth and fluffy snow. You can try their signature SnoBalls or create your own delicious shaved ice experience.

Mad Hatters Ice Cream Shop

Mad Hatters is a wonderful local establishment located on Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville. They have a few staple flavors and rotate some other delicious options with a couple speciality treats. Their main focus is definitely ice cream, and we love their creative approach that comes highly recommended by locals!

Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery

Slow churned, home made ice cream to make a creamy, lasting impression. Smallcakes is primarily a cupcake chain with worldwide cupcake domination on the brain! Their Fayetteville location is a favorite, with signature flavors and wonderful ice cream sandwiches.

Sweet Frog

Sweet Frog is a delicious frozen yogurt chain with multiple stores in the Fayetteville and Fort Bragg area. They offer a plethora of mix and match flavors with all the delicious toppings. They also offer catering!

Sweet Tooth Shop

Locally owned Sweet Tooth Shop has a variety of delicious baked goods available, from cupcakes and macaroons, cake pops and brownies, to vegan and gluten free options. Don’t forget about their cheesecakes, doughnuts, dessert cakes, and more! In addition to these delectables, they offer a variety of ice cream flavors.
