Superior Bakery

Located on Hope Mills Road, Superior Bakery is a long standing, family owned establishment founded in 1956 by John Poulos who immigrated from Greece. From dishwasher to bakery owner, he and his wife built a thriving business that remains in the family and is operated by their son, Nicko Poulos. Not only do they make delicious cronuts and chocolate covered strawberries, but their cakes, pies, and other treats make Superior a local staple that does not disappoint.

Burney’s Sweets and More

Burney’s is well known for their sweet treats and coffee. The Fayetteville favorite, glazed croissants (also known as cronuts) make an appearance here as well. Burney’s cakes are an essential addition to any birthday or celebration year round!

Marci’s Cakes & Bakes

Yours truly used Marci’s to cater my wedding’s dessert reception. Her lemon bars, cupcakes, sweet treats, and cakes are a must. Located in historic downtown Hope Mills, pop in for some daily fresh baked goods and then head over to the lake for a fun and romantic date. They also create custom cakes and desserts.

Blue Pineapple Bakery

Easily located between Skibo and downtown Fayetteville, Blue Pineapple Bakery not only makes amazing treats, but their beautiful custom wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and cupcakes are absolutely stunning. Check out their scones, breads, and other made from scratch treats. They also offer vegan and gluten-free recipes!

Frostings Cakeshop

Frostings can make a fun and tasty spin to your movie night date. Pop in before going to Millstone and try one (or several) of their incredible cupcakes. They specialize in cupcakes and custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and all of your special occasions!
